Tens four-wheeled vehicles took free emission test held by Jakarta Environment (LH) Agency in Tanjung Barat, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/30).

Jakarta LH Agency Acting Head, Syaripudin conveyed, the results of this emission test were recorded in the emission test information system and could be accessed by Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) and Police.
"If the vehicle fail the emission test, the owners cannot use the parking facility in Jakarta. In the future, they will be charged the highest applicable parking rate," he explained.
410 Vehicles Have Undergone Emission Test in JakartaFrom total 50 vehicles that took the emission test, 14 diesel fuel cars passed the test and 2 others didn't. While for gasoline fuel cars, 30 cars passed and 4 others didn't.
As mentioned at Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 66/2020 on Motor Vehicle Exhaust Emission Testing, individual passenger cars or motorbikes over three years old that don't undergo emission test and / or fail on the next emission test will be subject to sanctions stated in UULLAJ No. 22/2009, Article 285 and Article 286, namely a maximum fine of Rp 250,000 for motorbike and maximum fine of Rp 500,000 for car.
"Those who enforce the law on the roads are police and Transportation Agency. This Pergub was enacted on July 2020, it meas this Pergub took effect six month after it was ratified. Therefore we will intensify our socialization about this Pergub," he said.
